Free Graze Box

Having recently heard about the Graze box service, I decided to give it a go. Graze (www.graze.com) puts together a box full of different snacks to be delivered to you at your convenience, serving as a snack during work hours or something to treat yourself to at home. Usually priced at £3.99 a box, the range of options on offer include dried fruit, cakes and biscuits, porridge and even soup! At the moment, Graze are offering the first box for free, so with nothing to lose, I ordered my first box.

Ta-dah! It's arrived!
It took three days to arrive, and fits through the letterbox, again making it convenient for the customer.

Inside the box...
To start you off, Graze has selected four random snacks for you to try. Enclosed in the box, are four small pots, as well as a welcome leaflet and a piece of paper to tell you what snacks you have.

Super Carrot Cake and Sour Cream and Garlic Crostini
When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised. There was nothing in there to have me running for the hills. I received:

  • Super Carrot Cake - a small gluten-free carrot cake, also including Graze's special blend Afternoon Infusion Tea. The cake was quite nice, lovely and moist. The tea I didn't really take to - the taste left a lot to be desired.
  • Sour Cream and Garlic Crostini - this was the first pot I opened. I really like the sour cream flavoured cashew nuts!
  • Rhubarb and Pear Compote - dried rhubarb, pear and cranberries. A nice treat.
  • Chocolate Pretzel - poppyseed pretzels, complete with a chocolate hazelnut dipping sauce.

I can't really fault the general quality of the food, but I thought you didn't actually get that much in the box. Yes, I know it is intended to be a snack, and snacks are small, but I think for the actual price you would be paying, the quantity is not really justifiable. Graze provides options to deliver twice a week, once a week and once a month. The cost really adds up if you subscribe for a long period of time, and I don't really think it is worth that cost for what you get.

After the free box, I cancelled my subscription. After eating my food. Nom.

My Little Box May 2015: The Provence Box

I saw adverts for My Little Box on Facebook, checked out its website, and gave it a go! For £11 a month and £3.95 P + P (although I used the SPRINGTIME code to gain free postage for the first box), you receive a box containing beauty samples and products, a magazine, a print and lifestyle items too. I received my first box a few days ago, and was it worth the wait? I am not too sure. First of all, here is the box... Included is a drawstring canvas bag containing the beauty products, a box entitled "Sunny things inside" and the print, dress-up doll magnets and the magazine tied up with a ribbon. One of the beauty products, the shower gel, was already open and had leaked inside the bag, which was annoying. The beauty products are actually small samples, showcasing the best of L'Occitane, a well known and good quality brand. However, most of these products have been given away as a free gift from L'Occitane themselves. You can already get i...

Molang!

Recently, I have discovered Molang: a cute fat rabbit from Korea! In Korea, you can get a lot of Molang merchandise, but it is also possible to find some online to deliver to the UK. I have started a mini-collection already haha! Far left is my Molang suction doll, about 13cm. On the back, there is a suction cup, so you can stick him to the window if you wanted to. Far right is my big Molang doll. This is a 25cm plush doll, with a big cute pink bow! The Molang Figure Doll Boxset contains five 3cm Molang figures. This one is the macaroon collection, and all five Molangs are holding macaroons. They like to eat macaroons. Next is the Molang zipped bag. This is about 20cm in length, perfect for make up or small documents. This is the strawberry version, and also contains a Molang charm on the zip! So happy!

Travels in Bath!

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to visit Bath. I spent about a day and a half in Bath, not enough time to see everything sadly, but I had the chance to see some of the great sights! Bath is great in that it is easy to walk through. Having arrived at the train station, the first stop was the Sally Lunn Museum. Having done my research on the internet, the Sally Lunn bun is very famous in Bath. Every tourist is advised to try one! Five minutes we arrived - the building consists of three levels of dining areas, and there is a museum and gift shop on the lower level. The building itself is quite historic and retains much of its quaint charm. Upon entering, the place is quite busy - we manage to sneak a table in the corner by the window. What is said to be unique about the bun is that it is great tasting as a savoury or sweet dish. Following that, we ordered the smoked salmon bun and the dulce con leche bun. A cup of the Sally Lunn blend loose leaf tea Dulce con leche - ...
