The Corner Cafe, Barnstaple

Another place I have heard good things about is The Corner Cafe in Barnstaple. Situated at the end of the high street, The Corner Cafe provides hot food, cream teas and homemade cakes. It was very busy and both the top floor (which looks much nicer) and the ground floor was full of customers.

I ordered an English tea and an FFLT (fish finger, lettuce and tomato, I think) sandwich.
There was an incident in which I found a hair in my food, but the staff dealt with the situation very quickly and well, and offered to make me a fresh lunch.

The food itself was a very big portion, very filling! The idea of a fish finger sandwich reminds me of when I was younger. The chips are also said to be homemade.

The staff are very friendly and happy, which makes the experience very good. The food is not too expensive either - good if you are looking for a quick bite to eat whilst in town.

My Little Box May 2015: The Provence Box

I saw adverts for My Little Box on Facebook, checked out its website, and gave it a go! For £11 a month and £3.95 P + P (although I used the SPRINGTIME code to gain free postage for the first box), you receive a box containing beauty samples and products, a magazine, a print and lifestyle items too. I received my first box a few days ago, and was it worth the wait? I am not too sure. First of all, here is the box... Included is a drawstring canvas bag containing the beauty products, a box entitled "Sunny things inside" and the print, dress-up doll magnets and the magazine tied up with a ribbon. Travels in Bath!

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to visit Bath. I spent about a day and a half in Bath, not enough time to see everything sadly, but I had the chance to see some of the great sights! Bath is great in that it is easy to walk through. Having arrived at the train station, the first stop was the Sally Lunn Museum. Having done my research on the internet, the Sally Lunn bun is very famous in Bath. Every tourist is advised to try one! Five minutes we arrived - the building consists of three levels of dining areas, and there is a museum and gift shop on the lower level. The building itself is quite historic and retains much of its quaint charm. Upon entering, the place is quite busy - we manage to sneak a table in the corner by the window. What is said to be unique about the bun is that it is great tasting as a savoury or sweet dish. Following that, we ordered the smoked salmon bun and the dulce con leche bun. Pokemon Sun

I started playing Pokemon Sun last month and at first, I thought it wouldn’t be as good as Omega Ruby, which I throughly enjoyed. However, I am really enjoying it! As you progress, the story is so interesting and I like how the trials are so challenging. I found Kiawe and Mallow’s trial particularly tough! At the minute, I am about to take on the new Pokemon league (?). I also found a shiny Absol, which was so difficult to catch. A normal Absol was hard to catch in the first place and it took a great deal of Ultra Balls to catch her!
