My Little Box June Edition - The French Riviera Box

I wrote last month about how I was a little disappointed with the Provence box in terms of the items that were included. I decided to give My Little Box another go as I really like the concept. I used a discount code to get free p+p (I think the current one is SPRINGTIME) making the cost £11. This month's box was a vast improvement on the Provence box! Inside the box is the free magazine, a Kanako print, a beauty bag, a box of sunglasses and two storage bags. The products are influenced by this month's featured designer, Sarah Lanvoine.  These sunglasses are stylish and great for summer (should the sunshine last!). Includes cleaning cloth. These storage bags are beautifully designed and sturdy as well. On the pack, it implies it can store plants and flowers, as well as make up and other bits and bobs. We also have the Kanako print, which is cute, and the fold out magazine, which includes more information about this month's products,

LG Pocket Photo Printer

As someone who really likes to take photos, I quite often never print them out. I was looking for way to print photos instantly, and I had narrowed it down to two options: The Instax Mini 8 camera and the LG Pocket Photo Printer. The Instax Mini 8 camera can be bought with 30 prints for £69.99 in shops and the internet, whereas the LG Pocket Photo can only be bought online. The best price I found was £84 with 90 prints included. In the end, I decided to go for the LG Pocket Photo. The Instax Mini 8 is a nice idea, but the photos aren't always that nice. The Instax film is more expensive, and when you cannot predict what your prints are going to look like, it is highly likely that some of that film (and money) will be wasted. On the other hand, the LG Pocket Photo allows you to print photos taken on your smartphone or tablet via a Bluetooth connection. You can preview and edit what is going to be printed. The LG paper is slightly cheaper, but the Polaroid Pogo papers are also comp

Pom Pom Purin Tote Handbag

I bought a Pom Pom Purin tote handbag online a few weeks ago from Sanrio. The packaging for the bag is so cute! Plus, it comes with a free charm. The bag itself is very pretty. It comes with a Pom Pom Purin print and looks very stylish. It is also a decent size so it can store a lot of things, making it not only fashionable but stylish too.

Lunchtime at Tea By The Taw

Quiche Lorraine with chunky chips. A tasty and filling lunch!

Glossybox June Edition

I have seen various offers for Glossybox, a beauty subscription box. Every month, a selection of beauty products and samples are collected for £10 plus £3.25 p+p. Subscription packages are also available for 3, 6 and 12 months. Each box is usually centred around a theme. This month is the "Festival Edit". What gets delivered is a sleek pink box. Open it and inside is a gift card for Hello Fresh, a website that pieces together recipe cards and ingredients for your convenience. Also inside is a leaflet which explains what products are included. The beauty products are wrapped up neatly in pink tissue paper and sealed with black ribbon. Opening it feels like a very special occasion. Included are three full size products - Glossybox Flash Tattoos, Essence Gel Nail Polish and Kueshi Anticellulite Booster - and two sample products - Halo Facial Wipes and Monu Spa Reviving Mist. The Kueshi Anticellulite Booster usually retails at £14.55. The use of nat

Breakfast, Coffee and A Slice of Cake

This week, I went back to Tea By The Taw and Barnstaple Coffee Shop. I tried a Tea By The Taw Breakfast this time. Breakfast is served until 11am. For £6.45, the breakfast includes two local pork sausages, double-yolk egg, 2 slices of bacon, mushrooms, tomato, and a slice of toast. Tea or coffee is also included. Good value and a good quality breakfast. Local produce is used, and the best of the best ingredients are used here. A very tasty and filling way to start the day! I also went to Barnstaple Coffee Shop to try the hot drink and cake deal - for £3.80, customers can get a slice of homemade cake and coffee/tea. I opted for a slice of chocolate cake (with chocolate cream, fudge and buttons on the top) and a cafe latte. A lovely way to spend an afternoon!

Exeter Quayside

Exeter Quayside, just a few minutes walk from the city centre, boasts fantastic river views, independent art and gift shops, restaurants and cafes. There are also swans and ducks.

Tea On The Green, Exeter

Tea On The Green ( www.teaonthegreen.com ) is a popular eating establishment for locals and tourists, situated just beside Exeter Cathedral. Serving hot and cold food, coffee and teas and fresh homemade cakes, it draws a lot of appeal. I ventured in about half past 2 in the afternoon, just in time for afternoon tea. On the menu, it states that no cream teas or afternoon teas will be served from 12pm to 2.30pm because the kitchen are normally busy with hot food orders, so I have arrived just in time! I ordered the "Exeter" - for £8.45, you get a pot of loose leaf Breakfast Blend English tea, salmon and cucumber sandwiches, and a slice of cake of your own choosing. There were so many that sounded good, but in the end I opted for the Bramley Apple Tart. Salmon and Cucumber sandwiches Bramley Apple Tart, served warm with cream! This is a good value afternoon tea, and I think it is great that you can choose your own cake. I really liked the apple tart, it loo
